Paul’s Thorn…

May have been his guilt over condoning the stoning of Stephen.  This memory would have necessarily kept him humble, and was perhaps a main factor in his mission to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles.

  1. It’s hard to put myself in Paul’s position. Having to endure the regret over that must have been close to unbearable, especially considering it was a clear slaughter of the innocent. Sadly, the same kind of thing continues to this day–i.e., killing of the innocent.
